Love You More
The first time I actually sat down to write this song, it was supposed to be a soft ballad with piano. It was about a year ago when I had affection for a guy I never talked to, just someone who I saw afar. Little did he know, my feelings started getting stronger. Too scared to talk to him, I decided to write a letter–this song.
This song is a little different from what I’ve made before. After hearing Babymonster’s “Dream,” I wanted to experiment by adding rap bars into something soft and emotional. While writing the song, I came up with (inspired by SZA) a smooth yet simple bass line that reminisce a R&B tone. My producer caught that groove and leaned into it, building layers that amplified its warmth and rhythm. I think that’s what I love most about this track—it carries pieces of who I’ve been, across all the genres I’ve been and loved.

This song really presents what I felt at the time, spilling out what I wanted to say but couldn’t. The track really shows a different side of me and lets me explore a different genre for the first time.
